You can change the powder surface temperature during a print to find an even better powder surface temperature. The ideal powder surface temperature also depends on the 3D parts you are printing (e.g. large parts vs. small parts).
Apply 2-3 layers (0.1mm) to prepare the powder surface for your first print.
Optional Step 9: Find the right Temperature
If you are experimenting with powders or are operating the Kit in an extreme climate you may want to custom set your print temperatures. This step is not necessary for normal operation, simply choose i.e. "Sintratec P12" and start printing. For this step your printer has to be filled with powder.
Heat your printer up by clicking on the heat up button in the "4. Printing" tab of Sintratec Central and let the Kit heat up for an hour. After you have heated up your printer set the surface temperature to 160°C and wait for the powder surface to reach this temperature.
Increase the powder surface temperature by 1°C and wait for the powder surface to reach this temperature. Repeat this step until the powder surface begins to darken. Reduce the powder surface temperature by 1°C. This is your starting point for the ideal powder surface temperature for your printer.
